THE INTERCULTURE - Haitian dance - Veroushka @vkthedancer
INTERCULTURE
I am Haitian, born and raised in Haiti.
Circomstances brought me, in Canada, and it has been hard for me to call it HOME.
But today I know that home is where I'm connected to myself, not a place in the world.
So I finally made peace. I understand that my culture can coexist with any other culture. As long as I don't forget where I come from. As long as I stay connected and proud of being who I am. A woman of Haitian culture.
In the Canadian environment (see the Mapple leaf, water, ducks, the skyscrappers), this video showcases the Haitian culture:
The Tambou (drum)
The dances (in order of appearance): Zarenyen, Nago, Yanvalou, Kongo, Ibo, Doba, Petwo, Raboday
Hope you enjoy the visuals, and the INTERCULTURE
