Yanvalou Haitian Traditional Dance

Yanvalou, a traditional Haitian dance notoriously recognized for its distinct undulation movements, expresses hope and life. Originating from Benin, Yanvalou is a visual representation of the natural rising and falling of life. Through processing our pain (falling) we may begin to release it and transform it into uplifting joy (rising).
