In this video, I will take you to Little Haiti, Miami for some of the best Haitian and Caribbean Food in the world. We will visit Chef Creole, Clive's Cafe, Bahamian Pot Restaurant and the Caribbean Market/Haitian Cultural Center-Mache Ayisyen. Although the neighborhood is predominately Afro-Haitian, the cuisine of Jamaica and the Bahamas are prominent in this neighborhood.

The cuisine of the Bahamas is an interesting blend of Afro-Caribbean and Southern United States (Soul Food). Due to the proximity of the Bahamas to the United States and the importation of a lot of food products, the Bahamian palate has a taste for fish and grits, and other soul food dishes.
Teachers and administrators inside the Palm Beach County School District took part in the Haitian Culture and Language Institute. The all day event featured speakers with insights on how to improve the academic performance of the more than 16 thousand Haitian American students inside our district.
